The Advisor Platform is a monolithic mover tasked with carrying an Advisor pod. It is first seen during the chapter Freeman Pontifex in Episode Two.
Overview[edit]
The Advisor Platform is a large forklift-like vehicle made of black metal, capable of holding and transporting a single inert Advisor Pod. Its first and only appearance is on a highway bridge in the Outlands, where it is towed by two APCs and slowly advancing with a massive battalion of troops including Combine Soldiers, Striders, City Scanners, Dropships and Gunships heading towards White Forest. Its appearance showcases how retrieved Advisors travel alongside other units.
According to Episode Two developer commentary, the Advisor Pod is actually not some kind of private aircraft but an emergency escape vessel, thus incapable of piloted flight and needs to be held on a platform.
